Dear Assyrian,
Please read the enclosed letter,
which is related to a unique opportunity to help our needy Assyrian brethren in
Ninveh Plain region, Iraq. The letter is related to US Congress appropriation
of $20,000,000 aid to ethno-religious minorities in the Ninveh Plain region
where Assyrians form a big majority. The money will be used for enhancement of
Assyrians security, economical and business development, educational
institutions, health care, agricultural, employment and other areas.
Assyrian lobbyist in Washington,
Michael Youash with Iraq Sustainable Democracy Project (ISDP), wrote the
attached letter addressed to Senator Feinstein. Michael is the project Director
for ISDP in Washington. He has devoted his efforts as a lobbyist with US Congress
to secure financial aid for improvement of Assyrian conditions living in Plains
of Ninveh.
It is our sincere hope and indeed
our desperate appeal to you and every Assyrian residing in California to
complete the signed letter by writing your name, address, phone number and
faxing the letter to fax # (1 (202) 228-3954). All Assyrian residing in
California whether US citizen or legal residents including permanent refuges
can and should complete and fax the letter to Senator Dianne Feinstein office.
She is a Senator from California and the Chairwoman of US SenateÕs Rules
Committee. The Senator can be very helpful with the language of the final
passage to ensure that Assyrians interests are protected and funds would be
allocated to needy Assyrians in Ninveh. Assyrians have endured ethnic
cleansing, cultural genocide and religious-based targeting since Iraq's
creation. They need our help. We beg you to help our brethrens in Ninveh, Iraq
by completing and faxing the letter to Senator Feinstein as soon as possible.
There are about 5000 Assyrian
living in southern California. Most of Assyrians are eligible to complete and
fax the letter to Senator Feinstein. Let us send thousands of the fax letters
to Senator Feinstein to ensure that Assyrians demands are recognized. We hope
to coordinate our efforts with all Assyrian churches and associations through
out California to create a general awareness about the $20,000,000 aid by US
Government.
It is imperative that a large
number of Assyrians participate in sending the fax letter to Senator Feinstein.
This is an urgent appeal and would appreciate your prompt attention to this
matter.
Please make sure that the same
individual does not duplicate the fax letters. It should be noted that recently
a large number of Assyrian individuals living in California, have faxed the
same letter to Senator Feinstein office. Please avoid duplication or repeating.
Only Assyrians should complete the letter. Ask your family members, relatives
and friends to complete and fax the letter. If necessary make extra copies of
the letter for other Assyrians and encourage them to immediately fax the
letter.
Assyrians in California should
consider this unique opportunity as a sacred duty (or call it our Jihad) to
help and support Assyrians living in Plain of Ninveh through the US Government
aid program. Let us mobilize our force to immediately support our Assyrian
